It is a myth that talking about suicide makes people do it.
For many, it is a relief to talk about their thoughts and feelings.
If you are worried that someone you care about may be
considering suicide, ask them.

Emphasize how much you care. Listen and be non-judgmental.
Offer hope that alternatives are available. Avoid giving advice.
Take action. Remove means. Seek support for yourself and
the person you are concerned about.
